Why Apply Ceramic Coating?

  • Glossy Finish

Ceramic coatings create a deep, mirror-like shine that amplifies the car's paint color and clarity.

  • Ease of Maintenance

When water, dirt, mud, or grime comes into contact with the coated surface, it beads up and rolls off rather than adhering to the paint.

  • Long-Lasting Durability

Ceramic coating will last for years after application, which eliminates the need for frequent reapplication, saving time and effort while keeping the car looking pristine.

  • Hydrophobic Properties

Repels water, dirt, and grime, making the car easier to clean and reducing the need for frequent washing.

 FAQs

  • Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that is applied to the exterior of a vehicle to enhance the appearance of the paint. They for a strong chemical bond with the paint, creating a protective, hydrophobic layer that is resistant to harmful UV rays.

  • Ceramic coatings do provide a hydrophobic effect, making it easier to clean a vehicle’s paint and maintain a glossy finish.

  • Ceramic coatings can only resist light scratches, such as those from improper washing, brushes, or minor debris. It won’t protect against deeper scratches, like those from keys, rocks, or heavy abrasions. While it reduces the likelihood of swirl marks or micro-scratches, it can’t fully prevent damage from significant force or sharp objects. • For optimal paint clarity and depth, a paint correction is highly recommended before any ceramic coating application.

  • Many ceramic coating products are designed to allow layering. Applying multiple layers can enhance durability, thickness, and gloss, as each layer adds to the protective barrier. Each layer typically needs to cure before the next is applied. Depending on the product, this can range from 1-2 hours to 24 hours per layer. After 2-3 layers, the benefits plateau. Additional layers beyond this may not significantly improve protection or gloss, as the coating reaches its maximum effective thickness (usually 1-2 microns per layer)

  • Applying ceramic coating to a car involves a few key steps: First, the car is washed to thoroughly to remove dirt and grime. Next, iron remover and then a clay bar is used to eliminate surface contaminants, followed by polishing to correct paint imperfections. The surface is cleaned with isopropyl alcohol application to remove any residues. Then, the ceramic coating is applied in small sections using an applicator pad, working in a crosshatch pattern for even coverage. The coating flashes (haze over) for a few minutes, then excess is buffed off with a microfiber towel. The coating cure time is 24-48 hours in a controlled environment, avoiding water or contaminants is essential. Multiple layers can be added with curing time between each, if desired.
